Allumeria Weapons Tier List
What to swing in forest, snow, and desert chapters.
Weapon quality in Allumeria tracks metal tiers more than secret legendary names. A Copper Sword with room to swing beats a gold meme gun you cannot ammo. This list is for Steam Early Access 0.15. Crafting costs sit in the crafting guide. Pickaxe priority always wins if you are still on the previous ore; see tools progression.
S-tier: chapter tools
Cobalt Spear / Cobalt Sword — Snow’s answer to everything that is not a tophat slam. Spear reach helps against Yetis and homing wizards. Craft after a Cobalt Pickaxe, not before.
Forest-chapter melee (Forest set swords, Thorn Blade) — High uptime in trunk hallways. Thorn-style weapons punish contact enemies like Fuzzies. Use them until cobalt exists.
Charged bow play (Copper Bow into better metals, Cobalt Bow) — Right-click charge at 1.5 seconds is the real bow. Left-click spray is panic ammo. Shock or flaming arrows are strong and were made more expensive; treat them as boss budget, not cave wallpaper. Binds are in controls.
Crossbows (Copper through Cobalt) — Better burst than spray bows for dungeon doors. Ammo still costs flint-derived parts. Carry a melee swap.
A-tier: reliable mains
Iron Sword and Silver Sword — The honest midgame. Iron is the first blade that makes Forest Dungeon rooms feel fair. Silver is the forest-to-snow bridge.
Gold Sword / Gold Bow — Strong numbers, but gold is a snow-common ore. If you are still forest-locked, do not tunnel for gold to skip iron.
Miner’s Pickaxe — 0.15 forest drop, boomerang-style, strong hallway tool. Farm the Crazed Miner; do not skip a Cobalt Pickaxe for it.
Boomerang / Frosted Boomerang — Returning projectiles shine in shafts where arrows vanish. Frosted variants belong in snow.
Shuriken / Dart kits — Cheap chip for adding Wizards. Weak against boss HP pools.
Dynamite / Bomb Berry — Terrain and crowd tools. They will not replace the Forest Pickaxe for Undergrowth Rock after 0.13. Great for opening caves, terrible as a personality.
B-tier: situational
Wood Bow and Slingshot — Day-one range. Slingshot uses rocks. Replace the moment copper exists.
Cactus Sword — Desert souvenir that still cuts. Fine while you hunt palladium, not a palladium substitute.
Snowball Gun / Snowball Splitter — Excellent in snow, cute elsewhere. Splitter is for add waves during Snow Spirit.
Flamethrower — Hallway denial. Eats resources. Do not bring it as your only Forest Key spender’s weapon.
Big Sword — Hits hard, slow in jelly rooms. Pair with a paved arena from the building guide.
C-tier: leftovers
Flint Sword — Mandatory hour-one stick. D-tier the moment copper drops, C-tier only because every run starts here.
Crowbar, Pizza Cutter, Melon Slicer — Flavour melee. Keep one. Do not smelt a biome’s ore cap into them.
Arctic Blade — Snow-flavoured, but cobalt standards usually outclass “themed but earlier” blades. Use if it drops free.
D-tier: bits and jokes
Fart Gun, Baguette, Bagel, Frying Pan — Trailer celebrities. Hilarious in multiplayer. Wrong for Snow Spirit. Take screenshots, then swap.
Raygun of Instant Death — Name is a warning and a joke. If a creative or cheat item leaks into a world, it wrecks the chapter curve. Survival rankings ignore it.
Loadout advice
Carry two weapons: a hallway melee and a charged bow or crossbow. Trinkets (Gecko Gloves, Paraglider) change kiting more than swapping a B-tier sword. Boss arenas should be paved so Wizards do not spawn in your kite circle; fight plans are in the boss guide. Forest Dungeon jelly rooms punish huge swings until the Jelly Spoon is on. Desert air fights reward ranged and glider synergy, not a baguette.
If your inventory is fifty novelty guns and no pickaxe, you are not undergeared, you are unranked. Melt the joke, follow the progression checklist, and come back.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best Allumeria weapon in Early Access?
The best weapon is the one that matches your biome metal after a pickaxe is crafted. Cobalt spear or sword in snow, forest set in the woods, palladium when desert opens.
Are joke weapons viable?
For screenshots and co-op, yes. For Snow Spirit and desert, no. Keep them in a chest, not the hotbar.
Should I use bows or swords?
Both. Charge-bow for doors and bosses, melee for Fuzzies and jelly rooms. See controls for charge versus spray.
Where do I get flaming arrows?
Craft them once you can afford the recipe. They were made more expensive in 0.13, so save them for bosses, not trees.
